For narcotics and bed bug detection, Precision Explosives offers TADDs charged with polymer odor capture and release (POCR) media:

Narcotics TADDs:

Polymer media is infused with real narcotic odors in a controlled environment
Provides realistic narcotics odor without handling bulk contraband
Designed for consistent, repeatable odor presentations during training

Bed Bug TADDs:

Polymer media is infused with the odor of live bedbugs in a sterile environment
The material then slowly releases odor for approximately six months, supporting ongoing training
After the effective odor period, simply discard the used media and recharge the TADD with fresh material

Odor Permeable Membrane Assembly:

Each TADD features a specialized odor permeable membrane assembly that:

Includes a gas-tight, chemical-resistant gasket
Uses a hydrophobic and oleophobic membrane, allowing vapor to pass while repelling liquids
Is housed in a custom polypropylene membrane holder with a safety grid to prevent punctures

This design safely contains liquids, oils, solids, small particulates, and even certain hazmat materials, while still allowing target odor to be detected by the dog.

Gas-Tight Lid:

The lid helps control when and where odor is available, improving both safety and training precision.
